The 7 Favourite Restaurants of Andorra Residents (2026 Edition)
The restaurants where locals eat in Andorra: lunch menus, tapas and traditional cooking with excellent value in Andorra la Vella and Escaldes.
This list is not a luxury guide. You won’t find tasting menus here, or restaurants where you need to book months in advance. These are the places where people who actually live in Andorra eat: workers grabbing lunch, families or friends on a regular Saturday, the tapas bar that has always been there. Some have plain décor and a noisy dining room at two in the afternoon. That is exactly the sign you want.
If you are looking for Andorran fine dining, at the end of this article you’ll find our selection of top chefs and reference restaurants in Andorra.
El Jaleo
Escaldes-Engordany. Affordable lunch menu, simple and unpretentious cooking. The kind of place that fills up with people who work in the commercial strip and know where to eat well for around €20. The evening tapas are also very decent and the place tends to be lively.
Cafetería El Serch
Escaldes-Engordany. Another classic lunch spot in the Escaldes area. Home-style cooking, good and hearty, friendly service, fair price. The regular clientele says it all: locals, not tourists. Finding a table on a weekday at lunchtime is a real challenge.
El Cachirulo
Escaldes-Engordany. Traditional Spanish tapas: zamburiñas (queen scallops), patatas bravas, calamari. No set menu, but well priced for what they offer. A good option for quality snacking without the bill getting out of hand. The kind of bar that in any Spanish city would be the neighbourhood institution everyone grew up with. The only downside is the noise — but you know what you’re signing up for.
MiraKbé
Andorra la Vella. Gastrobar with creative tapas, one of the most popular mid-range spots among residents. The cooking is more elaborate than the previous entries. Their signature dishes include muffin-shaped tortillas with jamón serrano, egg and truffle, and the garrinet cannelloni. Great for a weekday dinner or a Saturday out, though booking becomes harder to skip.
Mínim’s
Andorra la Vella. Traditional Andorran cooking. The place you go when you want to eat genuinely local food: mountain dishes, local produce, recipes you won’t find on every menu. Mid-range, no fine dining pretensions, but cooked with real care. Rarely disappoints.
El Crostó
Andorra la Vella. Home-style traditional cooking, widely considered by residents to have the best lunch menu in the city. It’s no coincidence it holds the number one spot on TripAdvisor Andorra: when a place like this reaches that position, it’s usually because the people who live here genuinely recommend it. The weekend à la carte is slightly pricier, but it still offers one of the best value-for-money options in the centre.
Cap Bo
Andorra la Vella. Run by French owners, with a proposition that doesn’t fit into any other category on this list. The star dish is couscous — but you need to order it in advance, it’s not something you can request on the spot. Worth planning ahead. And if you go, don’t skip the tarte tatin. Probably the best in Andorra.
